This class is designed for the intermediate or advanced shooting student who is looking to develop the skills and mindset necessary to defend themselves outside their home while legally carrying concealed.
This class meets the criteria for Florida's Concealed Weapons Permit Application.
During this class the students will review the law's and criteria for carrying a concealed weapon in the State of Florida. Students will also discuss the responsibilities and limitations that come with carrying a concealed weapon. Discussions will cover the topic of weapon selection and the students will be shown how this applies to the methods available for carrying a concealed weapon. Students will also be shown how to properly draw and fire from a concealed holster.
Students are responsible for both eye and ear protection, ammunition and handgun. A hat, long sleeve shirt, and jeans are highly recommended. Students should also bring their own hydration as the pace of the class and location will dictate the frequency of breaks. Students are encouraged to bring their own magazine pouches and holsters. Because of the nature of the class student should bring/wear any clothing or jackets they would use to conceal their firearm. Weapons can be provided to the student for the duration of the class for 25 dollars. (Must be scheduled prior to the class.) Recommended ammunition count for this class is between 250-300 rounds. Unless specified, all range fees are to be paid by the student. Group rates are available.
